Keeping up the Enthusiasm: Maintaining positive reading cultures into secondary

08 Jun,2022 15:30:00 - 16:30:00

The secondary transition is key to whether children continue as life-long readers. However, experience tells us that many students do not always keep up a regular reading diet after year 7. This session will look at both long and short-term ideas for how primaries and secondaries can work together to ensure that as many children remain enthusiastic about reading throughout their secondary school lives.

The call will be live from 15:00 for the first 30 minutes which will be an opportunity for informal advice and discussions with one of the Cornerstone literacy specialists. The main input for the event will begin at 15:30.
